They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but perhaps all of life is that way as well. One's view of any experience is colored by past occurrences, both good and bad. One person's heaven may be another's hell, depending upon their perception of the situation.
All of life is often a matter of perception, and the things we accept as truths in our lives may be nothing more than the shifting sands of our perception of things based on what we have been allowed to see. There are many layers to all of our lives, and the truths that others accept about each of us - and that we accept about others - is based on the layers that are revealed.
