Brenda woke slowly from a wonderful dream. She could feel Jax's arms wrapped snuggly around her, holding her close to him. When she opened her eyes she was surprised to see him looking down at her, fully awake. "Hey, you, how long have you been awake?" she asked him softly, placing a gentle kiss on his chest and snuggling back into his embrace.
"Not long. I was just lying here thinking about all of the mornings we have done this exact same thing in this bed. I can't remember when we haven't been together like this in this bed, happy and crazy in love with each other. I think this is the only thing I am truly going to miss about this place." Jax wrapped his arms a little more securely around her and kissed the top of her head.
"I know what you mean. But, Jax, just imagine all of the mornings we'll have to wake up in our new bed, after nights spent like last night. Besides, we can still make new memories in this bed. Remember, we're going to keep this place as a hideaway, so we can repeat last night anytime we want." Brenda could not resist the urge to giggle at the memory of the 'practice sessions' they had put in last night. She shivered slightly at the thought of their plans for tonight. They had every intention of conceiving their child tonight. She knew that the likelihood of that happening was very slim, since she had continued to use protection up until yesterday, but there was always a chance. After all, hadn't they thought she was pregnant last fall? They had been using protection then as well, but the old saying of accidents can happen came to mind, causing her to smile yet again. They had been practicing so diligently for the last several days that she was sure they had the technique down pat, and tonight would be the night.
Jax had been very vague about his plans for their first night in their new home. He had simply told her that he had taken care of everything. All she had to worry about was getting them moved in; he would take care of this evening. She knew that whatever he had planned would make it an evening she would never forget, for many reasons.
Reluctantly Brenda lifted her head from its resting-place on Jax's shoulder to look at the clock on the bedside table. "Oooooh, darn! I guess all good things have to end."
"What's wrong?" Jax asked, slightly confused by her sudden change in attitude.
"I just got a look at the clock. Benton and the movers are going to be here in a little over an hour. We better get up and get dressed before they get here" she said very unconvincingly, not moving an inch from her resting-place, snuggled up to Jax.
Jax couldn't help but smile as he continued to gently stroke her long, brown hair. "Brenda, I hate to be the voice of reason here, but you are right. We really do have to get up. Besides, think about all the fun we can have tonight in our new bed in our new home, making our new family!" He tilted her face up to his and planted a VERY passionate kiss on her eager lips. "Will that hold you over until tonight, luv?" He tweaked her nose gently and kissed her quickly.
"I guess it'll have to do until then. Okay, let's go. Do you think we have time for breakfast?" Brenda slowly got out of bed and grabbed Jax's thick, white terrycloth robe.
Jax reached for his robe, but she was just out of his grasp. "Hey, what am I suppose to wear? You packed all of my other robes already! Come on, Brenda, it's cold in here."
"I know, that's why I put it on!" she winked at him as she started toward the master bathroom. "You can have it back after I'm done with it" she called over her shoulder as she headed into the bathroom. Jax flopped back on the bed when he heard the shower turn on. He reached over to grab the phone and order breakfast so it would be waiting when they finished dressing.
9:25 a.m.
Benton had arrived at exactly 9:00, while Jax and Brenda were still eating breakfast. He had insisted that they not interrupt their meal to start dealing with the moving crew. As Jax and Brenda sat together at the dining room table, they were both amazed at the way Benton took charge of the situation. The movers, who had arrived at 9:15, were already hard at work moving boxes and garment crates out to the freight elevator for the trip to the house. Benton was standing in the middle of the living room, leather folder in hand, giving orders as to which crates to be taken when and how they were to be handled. When one of the movers reached for the latched case on the coffee table, Brenda and Jax both started to say something, but never got the chance. Benton had stopped everything immediately to instruct the man not to touch that case and to remind everyone on the crew that under no circumstances was that case to be touched either here or at the house. Only Mr. or Mrs. Jacks would handle that case when the time came to move it. No one was to touch it for any reason, he repeated several times. He made sure each member of the crew understood the instructions, allowing both Brenda and Jax to finally breathe again.
When they had finished eating, Jax and Brenda moved into the media area by the window to be out of the flow of traffic. Neither of them wanted to do anything to interfere with the smoothly running system that Benton had in place. After reading the morning papers and returning the few messages that they had received overnight, Brenda and Jax decided the time had come to head over to the new house. When he noticed a slight break in the activity, Jax signaled to Benton that he wanted to speak to him. Benton immediately came over to him.
"Benton, Brenda and I have decided to head over to the house. Can you handle everything here? Do you need either one of us for anything?" Jax asked.
"No, sir. I think everything is under control. Thomas is at the house, so I'm sure things are under control there. If there is any problem, he'll be in touch.
"In fact, why don't you and Brenda take your time about going over? Maybe go for a drive for a while? That way you won't be tripping over movers, boxes, and total chaos your first day in the house. Mrs. Kelly will have lunch ready for you when you get there."
"Sounds like a great idea. I think we'll do just that. You can tell Mrs. Kelly we'll be there about 2:00 for lunch -- nothing special just a salad, I think. Would you tell her we'll eat in the breakfast room? I'm sure she has her hands full getting things ready for dinner tonight. Oh, by the way, have you had time to get settled into your quarters yet?"
"Yes, sir. I moved in yesterday. Thomas and Mr. Rollins were a tremendous help. I don't really have a great deal of personal property, so it was a simple move. I must say though that I don't think I've ever lived in such comfortable quarters. It really was not necessary for you and Brenda to go to all the trouble and expense of furnishing my quarters so lavishly, sir."
"It was the least we could do, Benton, after all the long hours you've put in, especially these last two weeks. Besides, I'm sure you've come to realize that once my wife sets her mind to something, there is no stopping her until the entire project is finished exactly the way she wants it; in this case that included your quarters with the rest of the house.
"If you need to reach us call my cell phone. Otherwise, we'll see you at the house around 2:00." Jax extended his hand to shake Benton's. "Brenda? Come on, honey, there's been a change of plans." Jax picked up the latched case to take with them. He held the door open for Brenda, who stopped to take one last look around then looked at Jax, smiled, and walked out the door.
3:30 p.m.
Jax and Brenda had just finished a wonderful cashew chicken salad lunch and were lingering over their coffee when Thomas came into the room. "Well, this is definitely the way to live! You guys sit here admiring the beauty of nature, sipping coffee, while the rest of us are working like dogs to get you moved in."
"Poor thing! What exactly have you been doing this beautiful day that could be classified as working like a dog?" Jax asked, unable to stop a brief chuckle.
"Well… I supervised the moving crew until Benton got here! Yeah, that's what I did! It's hard work, you know, keeping your eye on all those people at the same time." Thomas couldn't keep from laughing himself.
"Come, sit down, you poor, tired man!" Brenda said, laughing as she pulled out a chair for him. "Let me pour you some coffee. Do you think you have the strength to drink it, or should I help you?" She started to reach over and pick up his cup for him, but Thomas grabbed it before she could.
"Uh, no thanks. I think I can handle it myself. No wonder you and Jax get along so well, Brenda, you're two-of-a-kind!"
Both Brenda and Jax couldn't help but laugh. As the three of them sat enjoying coffee, oblivious of the commotion around them, no one noticed the shadowy figure standing in the corner just watching, a soft smile on her lips, and a dreamy look in her eyes. When Jax looked up the figure disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, happy at last that her home had found owners who loved each other as much as she and Everett had. She was sure that very soon this house would again be filled with the sound of children's laughter, a sound that she had not had much of an opportunity to enjoy.
February 14, 1999
6:45 p.m.
The last of the movers had gone about 5:30, leaving Jax, Brenda, Thomas, and Benton finally able to relax. After making a quick survey of the house, Thomas had left about 6:00. Benton had retired to his quarters to make sure everything on his list had been completed, and Mrs. Kelly was in the kitchen finishing up the dinner she and Jax had planned. Mrs. Kelly had been more than willing to stay late tonight to fix dinner, and Benton would be serving it about 7:30 in the private area of the dining room. He had already laid the fire, and Mrs. Kelly had set the table for two next to the fireplace. She and Jax had decided to use the best china and crystal for this special evening.
After Thomas had left, Jax and Brenda had gone into the parlor to relax before dressing for dinner, taking the latched case with them. They were snuggled up together on the couch, relaxing and just listening to each other's breathing. Neither one wanted to move. After a while, Brenda reached for Jax's wrist to look at his watch. "I guess we should be getting up, it's almost 7:00. What time is dinner planned?" Brenda had rolled over, lying practically on top of Jax so she could see his face.
"I asked Mrs. Kelly to have it ready at 7:30. We probably should be getting dressed. I don't know about you, but I feel the need for a shower before dinner, care to join me?" Brenda knew the look in his eyes was so inviting, but she also knew that it was not yet the time to show him the master suite.
"I'd love to, honey, but do you honestly think we will make it to dinner if we shower together NOW?"
"You're right. Okay, Mrs. Jacks, move it! I had Benton lay my clothes out in the guestroom next to our suite, so I can use the shower in there and you can use the one in our room." Jax gently pushed Brenda into a sitting position, so he could get off the couch. Once he was standing, he extended his hand to help her up and pulled her to him in a bear hug once she was up.
"What was that for, Jax?" Brenda asked, somewhat confused by his hug. "Not that I'm complaining or anything, just curious."
"Nothing special. I just wanted you to know I love you, that's all."
"You definitely do not have to remind me of that! I'll meet you back here in thirty minutes, okay?" she asked, looking up at him with the look of a child on Christmas morning. "We can go in to dinner together, okay?"
"Sounds good to me." Jax wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and they headed out the door toward the stairs to dress for the evening -- an evening he was sure she would NEVER forget!
"Wait! There is one thing we have left to do before we go dress for dinner." He left her standing there, while he went over to the couch back table to retrieve the latched case they had brought over from the penthouse. He placed the case on the butler's table that was in front of the fireplace and opened it. "I think we have one last bit of unpacking to do, don't you?"
"Absolutely!" Brenda reached for the wrapped package he handed her. She carefully unwrapped the wooden box from New Orleans and placed it on the mantle. Jax did the same with the steam engine. He then handed the last item to her to carefully unwrap. When she finished she gently ran her fingers over it before placing the small yacht on the mantle between the other items. "There, now this place is officially our home!" She looked at the mantle with tears starting to form in her eyes. She turned to Jax and saw he was having the same problem she was and quickly wrapped her arms around him. "Welcome home, my love" she softly whispered.
Thirty minutes later Jax was standing by the fireplace in the parlor, staring into the fire and waiting for Brenda to come down. He had only been there a few minutes when he heard her come into the room. He turned to face the door as she came in. The only thought going through his mind was that she was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. Dressed in a white, velvet gown and matching coat she looked like an angel in a gothic painting. Her long hair was hanging loose on her shoulders, and the light from the fireplace reflected like flecks of gold in it as she walked toward him.
Jax held out his hands to her as she approached him, "Wow! You have got to be the most beautiful creature on this earth, my love." He took one of her hands and spun her slowly around so that he could look at every inch of her. "That dress is almost as beautiful as its wearer. Is it new?" Jax pulled her close to him and wrapped his arms around her tightly.
"Yes, I thought it was appropriate that I get a new dress for our first night in our new home. I'm glad you like the way I look in it." She put her arms up to wrap her hands around his neck, pulling his face down to her for a passionate kiss.
When the kiss finally ended, Jax pulled back slightly from her, never releasing his hold on her, "I have a feeling I'm going to like the way you look out of it even more later!" He winked at her and kissed her again, this time on the tip of her nose. "Ready for dinner?"
"You bet! I'm starved! And I don't just mean for food either!" Brenda grabbed Jax's hand and led the way to the dining room. She stopped at the closed doors. "Jax, why are the doors closed?"
"I wanted to surprise you. Mrs. Kelly has been working very hard on tonight's dinner, so I hope you enjoy it." With that said Jax slid open the doors.
Brenda's eyes opened even wider. There before her was the most beautiful table setting she had ever seen. A single silver candleholder was set in the middle of the table, so that it reflected its light in the crystal. The only light in the room came from the fire burning in the fireplace, the candle on the table, and two small candles on the sideboard. As Brenda looked around the room, she saw through the window that it had started to snow. "Jax, look! It's starting to snow! That just makes this the most perfect evening ever!! I know you can do anything you set your mind to, but how did you arrange the snow?" She walked slowly around the room, still holding Jax's hand, leading him from the doorway to look out the window. She stopped in front of the window, and he came up behind her. She pulled his arms tightly around her and leaned back into his chest. "This is perfect! I cannot imagine a better start for our first evening here. Thank you." She turned part way around, inviting a kiss from Jax, which he was eager to provide.
"You are very welcome. Are you ready to eat, my lady?" Jax reluctantly released his grip on her, took her hand, and led her to the table. He held her chair for her to be seated. As she sat down, he gently placed his hands on her shoulders and softly slid them down her arms, bending over until his cheek was rubbing softly against hers, "Comfortable?"
"Very. But if you keep that up, I have to warn you that we may never get to dinner." She glanced up at him, letting him know that she was very serious in what she said.
"Okay, let's eat." Jax sat down opposite her and handed her a small, crystal bell. "If you would be so kind as to do the honors…"
Brenda took the bell, ringing it once. Benton came in almost immediately, carrying a silver, covered tray that he set on the sideboard. He removed the cover and began to serve their dinner, one course at a time. Each time he served a course, he made a very discrete exit back into the kitchen, allowing Jax and Brenda complete privacy.
When the last course had been served and they were finishing their wine, Brenda began to slowly look around, expecting one more course, dessert. Jax was having a very hard time keeping himself from laughing out loud. He knew what she was looking for, and he had every intention of fulfilling her needs - did he ever-- just not here. He had arranged with Benton and Mrs. Kelly for dessert to be served in the sitting area of their suite. Even though he had not been in there yet, Benton had assured him that everything was ready and that Brenda had no idea of what Jax had planned. While Jax and Brenda had been finishing dinner, Benton had been setting up Jax's dessert surprise. When everything was ready, Benton discretely stuck his head through the door behind Brenda to signal Jax that everything was ready upstairs. Jax acknowledged Benton without Brenda even noticing.
"Are you looking for something, Brenda?" Jax had surprised even himself at how calmly he had asked that question.
"Weell, yes, actually. Uh, the meal was fantastic Jax, as you well know, but isn't there something missing?" She hoped she was not being too obvious.
"What do you mean: something is missing? Don't tell me you're still hungry? I'm sure Mrs. Kelly has some leftovers in the kitchen, if you REALLY want something else. Just ring the bell; I'm sure she can find something." Jax reached for the bell, but Brenda grabbed it away before he could ring it.
"You know that's not what I'm talking about! What about dessert? You know how much I like dessert. What's for dessert, Jax?" She looked like a little girl waiting for her new toy. Jax could not resist the urge to laugh any longer. When he started laughing, Brenda stood up actually feeling angry and embarrassed. "What is so funny, Mr. Jacks?" she demanded.
"I'm sorry, honey - really, I am. You just should have seen the expression on your face. You looked like a little girl waiting for a toy she had been promised. I didn't mean to insult you by laughing, honestly! Do you forgive me?" Jax had also stood up and walked immediately over to her, taking her in his arms.
"I forgive you on one condition, that you tell me if you have something special planned for dessert." She looked up at him, waiting for his answer.
"Of course, I do. It's just not here, that's all."
"What do you mean, it's not here? Where is it? Please don't tell me we have to go out somewhere tonight!" Brenda was suddenly worried that he intended to go some strange place for the rest of their evening.
"Absolutely not! I have no intention of leaving this house at least for the next three days. No, I just meant that dessert is not being served in this room, that's all."
"Oh, okay. Well, if it's not being served here, where is it being served?" Brenda asked.
"Well, don't you think it's about time I get a tour of our new bedroom? I thought it would be nice to have our dessert and coffee in front of the fire in the sitting area of our suite. What do you think?" He pulled her closer and softly kissed the tip of her nose. "What do you say, Mrs. Jacks -- ready for some dessert and…?"
"Lead the way, Mr. Jacks." With that said, Jax took Brenda by the hand and the two of them headed out the door to the main stairway. By the time they made it to the closed doors to the suite, they were wrapped tightly around each other. They stopped outside the doors. Brenda looked up at Jax, more nervous than she could ever remember being - except maybe for the night of their first wedding, when she had no idea what she was doing but just knew that it was the right thing to do. "Jax, before we go in, I need you to promise me something: if there is anything about the suite that you don't like, you'll tell me about it. I don't want you living with something you don't like just because you think I like it. Promise me!"
"I promise, Brenda. Can we go in now?" As Brenda was reaching for the door handles to slide them open, Jax stopped her. "Just a minute here. Aren't you forgetting something? Isn't the husband suppose to carry his bride across the threshold the first time?" With that said, Jax quickly lifted her up in his arms and held her with one arm, using his other to open the doors.
Brenda was amazed as they stepped into the room. Benton had obviously been busy between dinner courses because the room had not looked like this when she had left it. Candles were lit throughout the room, the fire had been laid, and the doors to the bedroom were slightly ajar. Jax set Brenda down so that he could look around. He was amazed. This had to be the most beautiful room he had ever seen! He knew Brenda had put as much love into this room as she put into their relationship! It was perfect!
"Well? What do you think? Do you like it?" Brenda held her breath, waiting for his answer. "Jax? Say something!"
Jax walked slowly around the room, touching things, picking things up, just looking at everything. "Brenda, it's amazing! I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect room in my life! Thank you!" He walked quickly back to her, wrapped his arms around her, lifted her up, and spun her around. "It was well worth the wait! I can hardly wait to see the rest!"
"Well, come on and I'll show you!" she eagerly headed for the bedroom doors, wanting to show him everything.
"No wait! I'd rather we wait. Let's have our dessert first. I have a feeling that once we go exploring the rest of this suite, we may never get around to finishing our dinner. Come on, you have a meal to finish." With that said, Jax led her back over to the fireplace, where a large, covered, silver tray was waiting. Next to it was a bottle of their favorite champagne, chilled to perfection.
A very excited Brenda sat down on the floor, waiting for Jax to join her. He walked over to the table by the window and picked up the remote control that was sitting there. He had no idea where the stereo was hidden, but Benton had told him where to point the remote so he did. He was rewarded with the sound of beautiful, soft music, perfect for the evening. He walked over to where Brenda was sitting, poured them each a glass of champagne, and offered one to her. Jax sat on the floor next to her. "A toast. To our new life, our new home, and very soon our new family!"
"I'll drink to that!" After gently touching glasses, they both took a sip. "Okay, Jax, what's this big, mystery dessert?" She started to reach for the cover on the tray, waiting for Jax to stop her, but he didn't. When she lifted the lid, she could not help but laugh. Under the lid were a plate of marshmallows, a large Hershey bar, and some graham cracked squares. "Oh, honey, you remembered my favorite dessert. Only problem is we have no way to make these." She looked around for something to soften the chocolate and toast the marshmallows.
"Do you think I would forget that? Look under the table." Jax lifted the silk table cover so Brenda could see. "Anything else you need?"
"Nope, just you." Brenda reached over and kissed him passionately. "You've made this the most perfect evening a wife could ask for. Thank you." Brenda turned around and leaned back against Jax, so that she was sitting between his legs with her back up against his chest, comfortable in what had become her favorite position to sit.
"You're welcome but just remember the evening is far from over. We haven't been practicing for the last few days just to eat our dinner you know." Brenda turned part way around to look at him as he spoke. When she saw the gleam in his eyes, she couldn't help but blush.
"Don't worry, dear, I haven't forgotten!"
After feeding each other s'mores to their hearts content, the time had come for the evening to move to its final destination. Jax wrapped his arms around Brenda's waist pulling her closer to him. He kissed her softly along the side of her neck, sending goose bumps up her spine. When his warm lips reached her ear, he began to nibble on her lobe, causing her to squirm in his embrace. "What do you say, Mrs. Jacks? Think it's time to move this party to its final destination?" Jax had continued his nibbling as he spoke, causing Brenda's breathing to become ragged.
"Most definitely." She turned around in his arms to kiss him full on the lips, her tongue first tracing the outline of his mouth, teasing him to allow her in, which he was most willing to allow.
After a series of increasingly passionate kisses Jax finally broke the connection. He slowly pulled away from her and stood up, bringing her along with him. As they stood by the fire, he looked deeply into her eyes. He cradled her face in his hands and kissed her again. As they stood there kissing, he slid his hands from her face down her neck to her shoulders, removing her coat without breaking the connection. When he finally pulled away he glanced down at her for the first time in her white gown. "Brenda, my Brenda, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. How did I get so lucky?" He started another series of passionate kissed before she could answer.
When they finally came up for air, she was able to answer him, "I'm the lucky one, Jax. I almost lost you because I didn't realize what I had the first time. I'm just grateful that you were able to forgive what I did to us and give me another chance. I promise you, here in this house, that I will never do anything ever again to hurt you or embarrass you. I love you, Jax, more than I can ever tell you. I want to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much." She kissed him again, this time pulling him close and rubbing her body against him, feeling his arousal. With a smile she couldn't keep from her lips, she looked up at him, "I guess the time's come to explore the last room in the house, don't you think?"
She took Jax by the hand and led him to the bedroom doors, pushing them open with her free hand. This time Jax was the one amazed. Benton had obviously been keeping secrets for both of them, since this room was also lit by several candles and the light from the fire in the grate. "Do you want me to turn the lights on so you can see the room?" she asked, with a glint in her eyes that he recognized so well.
He grabbed her and pulled her close to him, sliding his hands up and down her back, "What do you think?" He kissed her again, moving his lips from her forehead to her eyes, to her nose, and finally to her lips, where he began a series of increasingly passionate kisses, which he eventually trailed down the side of her neck to her shoulder. As they were kissing, she had begun unbuttoning his shirt, finally pushing it from his shoulders. He was forced to release his hold on her for just a moment in order for her to finish removing his shirt.
When she finished, he reached behind her to unzip her dress, pulling it off her shoulders and allowing it to fall to the floor at their feet. Brenda stepped out of it and kicked it to the side, leaving her wearing only a pair of white, silk panties, having removed her shoes while they had been sitting by the fire in the sitting room having dessert. As they were standing by the fire looking into each other's eyes, Brenda reached up her hands and softly slid them along his bare chest, brushing her fingertips gently across his nipples, feeling them stiffen at her touch. She leaned in and began caressing them with first her tongue and then her teeth, softly nipping at them. The soft moan that escaped Jax's lips would have let her know he was enjoying her actions even if she had not felt his increasing reaction to her. She quickly slid her hands down to his waist to unhook his pants and slowly slide the zipper down, pushing his pants to his feet. He quickly stepped out of them and kicked them in the same direction that her dress had gone a short time before.
Jax lifted her face so he could again kiss her, as he quickly lifted her into his arms, carrying her over to their bed. He placed her down in the center. She wouldn't let him break the kiss they were so enjoying, so he came down onto the bed with her, the passion of their kisses increasing by the minute. His hands began a slow exploration of her body, causing her to moan with the fire he had ignited in her. As his hands explored her full breasts, his lips slid from hers, causing her to groan at their loss. A groan that was quickly replaced with moans of renewed pleasure, as he began a trail of kisses down her neck to her shoulder and finally to her right breast. He caressed her nipple, first with his tongue, than his lips, and finally he began to nibble at the turgid point. Brenda arched up against him, pulling his head to her, causing him to take more of her breast into his mouth. All the time he had been savoring her right breast, he had been caressing her left with his fingertips. When he broke his mouth's connection with her breast, she whimpered softly at its loss, but was quickly satisfied when he simply moved to savor her left breast in the same manner he had the right.
Brenda had not been the only one aroused by their kisses. She could feel him hardening against her. As he continued his ministrations on her breasts, she slowly slid her hands first over the rock hard muscles of his back and arms and then to the smooth surface of his chest and abdomen. As her hands drifted lower, she slowly slid them beneath the elastic waist of his boxers, finally reaching her goal. She gently rubbed her hand along the length of him, causing a moan to escape from deep within him. She slowly wrapped her hand around him, sliding her grasp up and down the length of him in several slow strokes, until she couldn't contain her desire any longer. She pulled her hands back to the waist of his boxers and quickly pulled them down, finally allowing her free access to all of his magnificence.
When Jax felt her remove his boxers, he stopped his suckling of her breasts. He started to slowly kiss a path to her navel, which he fully explored with his tongue. As he had been slowly working his way down her body, she had been forced to release her grasp of him, but was so overcome with the sensations of what he was doing to her body that she willingly released him. When Jax found himself at the elastic of her panties, he stopped for a moment to look up at her face. Her eyes were closed and she was obviously lost in her world of passion. He smiled slightly as his fingers grasped the edges of the elastic and pulled the panties slowly down and off her, stopping as he did to admire her magnificent body.
Once they were both free of any barriers, he moved again on top of her, kissing a path back the same way he had come until their lips were reunited in a kiss of totally unbridled passion. Jax finally broke the kiss and looked down into her eyes, "I love you, Brenda, more than it is possible to ever tell you. You are like the other half of my soul!"
Brenda pulled his face back to her for another even more passionate kiss, wishing it to continue forever. When it finally ended, she looked up at him with tears in her eyes, "I love you, too, Jax. I know it took me a while to figure out what love actually is, but now that I know, I know that love for me is you. You are my life and my soul, Jax, and you always will be!" She reached up to kiss him again and again, until both of them knew they had passed the point of no return.
Brenda slowly opened her thighs to allow him to make them one. As Jax began to move slowly within her, Brenda could feel herself disappearing into him. They truly were one, in both body and soul! As Jax's strokes became harder and faster, Brenda found it harder to breathe until she finally reached the point where she had lost all control. She tightened her grasp of him. Just as she felt his next long, hard stoke into her, she let herself explode in a climax the likes of which she had never experienced before. When Jax felt her release, he took one more powerful stroke into her and found his own heaven in her arms.
As they slowly came back to reality and their breathing returned to normal, they found themselves once again wrapped in each other's arms, Brenda softly running her fingers across his chest. "Honey, that was amazing! "
Jax couldn't resist the urge to smile as he softly ran his fingers over her naked back. "No, you were amazing! I don't remember ever feeling so satisfied! Thank you, my love."
"For what? Loving you? Jax, I love you so much there is no way even making love like THAT will ever show you!"
"Oh, I don't know. I'd say I got a pretty good idea! Besides," he said, with a sexy smile, "I'd say if that was any indication of what our love life is going to be like in this bed, you are going to find yourself pregnant in no time! If you aren't already, that is." He reached under her chin with his fingertips and tilted her face up to receive his kiss. Surprisingly, they both found themselves ready to experience their passions again.
After spending the next three hours making love to each other with the same passion and intensity as the first time, they finally settled in to sleep. Brenda's naked body was wrapped snuggly around Jax, her head resting on his chest above his heart, her arm around his ribs, and her leg draped over his, resting against him. This truly was going to be the perfect home for them, he thought as he gently kissed the top of her head before drifting off to sleep himself.

She stood watching them sleep for a moment longer and then slowly faded away, leaving the scent of roses in the room.
